Former Cooper Athletic Director Inducted into Hall of Fame

Barbara A. Lehman was inducted into the Derham Hall Athletic Hall of Fame last weekend.

If the name sounds familiar, that's because the Robbinsdale Cooper High School football stadium is named after her.

On Dec. 2, Barbara A. Lehman was inducted into into Cretin-Derham Hall's new Hall of Fame.

According to Robbinsdale Area School's newsletter, Lehman, who was Cooper's former athletic director, was a long-time employee and advocate for Title IX and equality in sports.

"This year marks the 40th anniversary of Title IX, which revolutionized girls’ and women’s athletics at the high school and collegiate level," Cretin-Derham Hall school officials said on their website. "It is fitting that we recognize those in our community who were truly pioneers in their respective sports."
