General Mills Makes Forbes Most Innovative Companies List

Out of 100 companies, Forbes ranked as the 50th most innovative company in the world.

According to Forbes' website, members of the list must have $10 billion in market capitalization, spend at least 2.5 percent of their revenue on research and development and have seven years of public data.

On General Mills' blog, Peter Erickson, General Mills’ senior vice president of innovation, said:

"We’re extremely honored to be recognized by Forbes as one of the most innovative companies in the world. I see this honor as a strong endorsement of our employees’ hard work and relentless pursuit of innovation in all aspects of our business around the world.”

Forbes classified SalesForce.com as the most innovative company in the world. SalesForce.com is a provider of enterprise cloud computing applications, according to their website.
