Robin Gale: Mainstream Boutique is a franchise, but we are individually owned. I own and operate the Golden Valley store, but we currently have 10 unique locations in Minnesota and will have 21 boutiques in the United States.

Golden Valley Patch: Why did you choose to locate your business in Golden Valley?

Gale: There wasn’t anything else like it in this area and it is central to so many other suburbs. I also live in Golden Valley. 

Golden Valley Patch: What types of clothing do you sell? Who is your target customer?

Gale: We sell unique, stylish, and affordable women’s fashions and accessories to a wide range of ladies. One of the things that makes us unique is that we have something for women ages 18 to 80.

Golden Valley Patch: What makes the shopping experience at Mainstream different or unique?

Gale: We are a small, unique, neighborhood boutique with flattering and affordable clothing and great accessories. It’s great for women who don’t want to shop at a department store. We offer amazing service and make sure that you look fashionable, but age appropriate. We make women look and feel amazing.We also get new items several times a week.

Golden Valley Patch: What are the price ranges for your clothes?

Gale: We have a wide range of prices representing many lines. However, most items in the store are under $100.

Golden Valley Patch: List some of summer's best sellers. 

Gale: Brights, maxi dresses, sandals, missoni prints.

Golden Valley Patch: What fashion trends should shoppers expect to see in the fall?

Gale: Look forward to more maxi dresses, maxi skirts, high/low skirts, ponchos, skinny jeans, lace, print and colored bottoms. I will be leaving for one of the biggest apparel shows in Las Vegas next week, so come on in for all the new things!
