Golden Valley Shopping Center Getting A Facelift
A new exterior will be put on the mall at Winnetka Avenue and Highway 55.

In the coming weeks, the Golden Valley Shopping Center will take on a new look.
"The façade of the building is being replaced this summer," according to Joe Hogeboom, city planner. "The property management tells me that we can expect some new stores coming this fall, but they did not tell me which stores."

The property managers did not respond to a request for information about the new stores.
The shopping center is north of Highway 55 and west of Winnetka Avenue.

Changes also are coming to the Golden Valley Commons, which is east of Winnetka Avenue.
The former Hollywood Video store has been divided into two stores, Hogeboom said. A T-Mobile is in one of the spots and a "boutique-type shop" is going into the other. The name of the boutique will be announced the fall, he added.
