Man Who Torched Cheerios Dies
Michael L. Leisner became famous for his pyro protest outside of General Mills' headquarters. Now, the Star Tribune reports that he's dead.
The Star Tribune reported todayΒ thatΒ Michael L. Leisner, the man who became famous for torching, has died.Β
In an act to protest General Mills' support of same-sex marriage, Michael Leisner took a blowtorch to a box of Cheerios in front of the cereal maker's Golden Valley campus. His protest was published on YouTube on Aug. 5.Β
According to the Star Tribune,Β Leisner died Saturday while waiting in his car for his sons to finish playing tennis. His family reportedly released a statement, sayingΒ that Leisner's two sons found him in a car and not breathing.
