Will You Buy the iPhone 5?
The iPhone 5 will be available on Sept. 21, but Golden Valley residents can pre-order the smartphone online or from Radio Shack today.
Pre-orders for the iPhone 5 began at 12 a.m. today, Friday, Sept. 14 on the Apple store’s website.
Apple, Inc. (AAPL)Â debuted its latest smart phone Wednesday, featuring a 4-inch screen, which is 20 percent lighter and 18 percent thinner than its predecessor, the iPhone 4.
Previous versions of the iPhone spurred long lines on launch day at Apple Store locations across the country. But there's no need to travel to a Twin Cities Apple Store and wait in a long line. It will be available soon in Golden Valley.

is one local store that will sell the phone to residents. It's no surprise that the store's owner, Jerry Summers, said it will be a popular item.
Verizon began sales at 12 a.m. PST Friday, and Sprint began sales at 12:01 a.m., according to their websites. AT&T will also take pre-orders Friday.

In addition to pre-orders, Apple stores and the three carriers will take orders in stores on Friday, Sept. 21.
