Winkley Company in Golden Valley Recognized for 125th Anniversary
The long-time, family owned business was recently presented with a certificate of recognition by the Golden Valley City Council.

At one of the first meetings of 2013, the Golden Valley City Council acknowledged and recognized the Winkley Company on its 125th anniversary.
The locally owned business has been building prosthetic orthotic devices since 1888 and has been headquartered at 740 Douglas Drive since 1978, according to council documents.
Mayor Shep Harris said it was an opportunity to recognize the business for being βgreat partnersβ in the community.

βThe importance of a business like yours to our economy is huge,β Councilmember Paula Pentel told Winkley representatives at the Jan. 15 meeting before the certificate recognition. βItβs wonderful that it has stayed in the family and in Golden Valley.β
Winkley Company has six locations in Minnesota: Golden Valley, Woodbury, Coon Rapids, Minneapolis, Cambridge, Red Wing as well as two in Wisconsin.
