City of Shorewood Gears up for Full Slate of Upcoming Kid Activities
Former Viking Randall McDaniel coming to upcoming Safety Camp, Zoomobile arrives this Friday, kids geocaching class scheduled and more from the City of Shorewood.

Register Kids Grades 3-5 For Safety Camp by July 30
South Lake Safety Camp is a camp offered to kids entering grades 3-5, and this year’s camp will be Wednesday, Aug. 8, from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. The camp is co-sponsored by , Southlake Police Department, and AAA.

Special guest and former Viking’s player Randall McDaniel will be a featured guest, and a fly-in by the Minnesota State Patrol helicopter will conclude this fun event.
Register for only $20 which includes t-shirt, water bottle, a new bike helmet, lunch, snacks and great safety training. Safety training includes water, fire, personal, pedestrian and stranger danger.

Minnesota Zoomobile
No registration is required. All ages. The zoomobile will bring a variety of animals, and families are encouraged to plan a picnic before or after the show. The show runs about 45 minutes and will take place Friday, July 27, beginning at 11 a.m. at Freeman Park—located at 6000 Eureka Road in .
Geocaching
Learn the basics of Global Positioning Satelite (GPS) technology then use the Internet to find local geocaches. Hunt for hidden treasure and use provided GPS units to play an updated version of Capture the Flag!
