Excelsior Resident Enters Hall of Fame

The Minnesota Shopping Center Association recognized Cindy MacDonald's outstanding leadership and achievement in the retail industry.

Cindy MacDonald, director of properties and redevelopment for Kraus-Anderson Realty Company, has been named to the Minnesota Shopping Center Association (MSCA) Hall of Fame. The award recognizes outstanding leadership and achievement in the retail industry. 

MacDonald lives in Excelsior.

MacDonald has been involved in the commercial real estate industry for more than 24 years. Prior to joining Kraus-Anderson Realty Company in 2004, she was retail property manager of Gaviidae Common and Minneapolis City Center, where she managed over 800,000 square feet of retail property.

At Kraus-Anderson Realty, MacDonald manages a portfolio of retail, office and medical properties and also supervises four property managers, overseeing approximately 1.5 million square feet of commercial properties.  She also manages the daily operation of the property buildings, including tenant relations, budgeting and strategic planning for the asset.  In addition, MacDonald manages the properties’ renovation and redevelopment, and assists in the acquisition and disposal of real estate.

MacDonald is a past president of MSCA, and a member of Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) and International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).  She is licensed in real estate sales and is a candidate to become a certified shopping center manager (CSM), property manager (CPM) and real property administrator (RPA).
