Letter: Supporting Andrew Mullin for Wayzata City Council

To the editor:

These days there's nothing glamorous about politics—especially at the local level. The issues are increasingly complex, the opinions are polarized and the money is tight. Add in the fact that you're representing your neighbors and it's impossible to hide if you chose to stick your neck out.

In Andrew's first term, he jumped in and tackled some of Wayzata's most difficult issues—the Bay Center redevelopment, the new Muni construction, city manger recruitment and city finances, to name a few. My view of his approach was to spend a great deal of time soliciting views from the citizens of Wayzata, seeking out experts in industry and government for advice and pursuing balanced solutions to move us forward.

Andrew and his wife have full-time jobs outside the home, they're raising young children and he is working relentlessly on behalf of the citizens. He has sacrificed a great deal of time away from his family and friends, but  together with the leadership team of Wayzata, they have accomplished a ton in the last few years.

I, for one, am grateful for his service.

We need his energy and commitment to continue the great work in Wayzata!
