New Shop Opening in Excelsior

This week's grand re-opening sale will feature an eclectic mix of old and new.

"The Cottage" in Excelsior has a new name, new owner and a new look. Introducing "The Bee Cottage," an occasional sale downtown .

New owner, Jennifer Finlay, owner of Jennifleur Handmade Soy Candles, along with style authority Nancy Koch, of Dayton's "Paris Flea Market" fame, met while both were vendors at Guild in St. Louis Park. Joining forces to transform Excelsior's quaint and historic Maple Inn into a savvy gal's shopping nirvana, they open their doors just one weekend a month  to feature a treasure trove of old and new, vintage and handmade accessories, home decor and furniture.

The sale goes on the second Wednesday of each month and runs through the following Saturday, with additional dates during holidays and community events.

A special re-grand opening event takes place this week, beginning Wednesday, Oct. 12, and wraps up Saturday, Oct. 15. Check out the Bee Cottage's Facebook page for a preview.
