Orono Bids a Fond Farewell to Retiring School Staffers
Six long-time fixtures of the district retired earlier this month.
As the 2011-12 school year came to a close, so did the careers of six staff members of .
Retiring this year (and pictured left to right, front to back) were: John Ostlund, coordinator of buildings and grounds; Judy Micke, administrative assistant to the director of business services; Connie Priesz, Orono Middle School physical education/health teacher; Peggy Betsch, elementary special education teacher; Jane Kipling, Orono Schumann Elementary second-grade teacher; and Diane Pollard, elementary special education teacher.
The retirees were honored at the district’s June 8 recognition breakfast along with 70 staff members who achieved milestone service anniversaries this school year.
