Strong Storms Take Aim at Lake Minnetonka
A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 7 p.m. Monday.

Meteorologists are strongly urging anyone around Lake Minnetonka to get inside as a powerful storm makes its way toward the lake.
Heavy rain, strong wind gusts and dangerous lighting are all possible today around the Lake Minnetonka area.
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for all of Hennepin County through 7 p.m. tonight, and radar indicates a strong system will begin passing over Lake Minnetonka at around 1:15 p.m.

It is the same system that prompted Wright County to put out a page for trained storm spotters earlier in the day after strong rotation was detected along Hwy. 55 between Annandale and South Haven.
Heavy rains began falling in Excelsior just after 1 p.m.
