Today: Wayzata Golf Teams Swing for State Championship

The state's best Class AAA golfers begin their title drive at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids.

The Minnesota State Class AAA golf tournament tees off today at the Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids.

Wayzata will be well represented at the tournament, with golfers from both the girls' and boys' teams among the favorites to sink a state championship.

The Trojans' boys team is playing for its third straight state championship. Wayzata won the Class AAA crown in 2009 and 2010. Senior Tyler Lowenstein finished tied for second a year ago—finishing with a two-day total of 144—and he'll be back in hopes of an individual title.
