Wayzata P.D. Blotter: Underage Drinking Party, Fraudulent Vehicle Purchase and Jewel Heist

The following are a selection of notable incidents responded to by the Wayzata Police Department between June 11 and June 15. Not intended to be a comprehensive log of activity.

Police were called to a home on Margaret Circle just before 4 a.m. June 15 on a report of an underage drinking party and fight. Three 19-year-olds and one juvenile were cited for underage consumption of alcohol. Parents were not home.

A vehicle valued at more than $15,000 was purchased June 14 at a car dealership on the 1800 block of Wayzata Boulevard East using a fraudulent credit card.

Jewelry valued at $2,275 was reported stolen June 13 from a home on Rice Street. The jewels were returned by the suspect, and the investigation into the case remains ongoing.

A coach wallet and its contents were reported stolen June 11 from a vehicle on the 1100 block of Wayzata Boulevard East. A window was broken to gain entry into the vehicle, and the wallet is valued at $200.
