Wayzata Police Investigating Recent Jewelry Thefts

Below is a selection of notable incidents reported to the Wayzata Police Department between Nov. 8 and Nov. 12. It is not intended to be a comprehensive log of activity.

A car window was smashed Nov. 8 while parked in an apartment complex on Glenbrook Road North. Approximately 60 CDs, valued at $900, were stolen.

Tires on two vehicles parked near a business on the 800 block of Lake Street were deflated Nov. 9. Police received the report just after 8 a.m. Loss is estimated at approximately $175 per tire.

A ring valued at approximately $625 was reported stolen at 11 a.m. Nov. 10. The theft occurred on the 1200 block of Wayzata Boulevard East.

Theft of jewelry valued at approximately $2,100 was reported at about 3:45 p.m. Nov. 12. The theft occurred at a residence on the 100 block of Wayzata Boulevard.

Several mailboxes in the Shady Lane neighborhood were entered on Nov. 12. Mail was scattered on the ground, and doors to the mailboxes were left open. Police responded to the reports at around 7:30 p.m.
