Acomb Announces City Council Candidacy

Patty Acomb says former council member Amber Greves has given her an endorsement.

Dear Minnetonka Friends and Neighbors,

I am excited to announce my candidacy for the at-large seat on the Minnetonka City Council. Amber Greves previously held the position and has given me her endorsement. The city is holding a special election on Feb. 14, and I would be honored to have your support.

I believe it is important to maintain the quality of our neighborhoods and address the needs of all of our citizens, while continuing strong fiscal responsibility. I am a 35-year resident of Minnetonka, who is deeply invested in our city. My husband, Craig, and I have two school-aged boys and actively support opportunities for children in our community. My mother Marge Wright, who is a 50-year resident of Minnetonka, also lives with our family and has given me a deep understanding of the issues facing our senior community and the important services our city offers to them.

I will work hard to balance community development needs with maintaining our natural environment. I am the current vice-chair of the Minnetonka Park Board, giving me a strong understanding of the issues and operations of the city as well as being a part of Minnetonka’s governance. I will use my education in natural resources and professional work experience with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources to continue to enhance our city’s natural character.

For more information about me and my campaign visit www.pattyacomb.com. I look forward to meeting more of you in the coming months, and earning your vote on Feb. 14.

Sincerely,

Patty Acomb
Candidate for Minnetonka City Council At-Large, Seat B
