Letter: Veteran Park Commissioner Endorses Leigh Harrod
"Her multiple university degrees in natural resource management, plus her 30 years of professional experience dedicated to the environment makes her a rare and unique candidate offering to serve Three Rivers Parks."

To the Editor:
I have been a Three Rivers Park Commissioner for 14 years. It is very important to me that new board members understand the many areas of responsibility.
That is why I support Leigh Harrod for Three Rivers Park Commissioner in District 4. Since the 1950s, Three Rivers Park Commissioners and staff have been guided by the mission statement: “…to promote environmental stewardship through recreation and education in a natural resources based park system'.

Harrod is well prepared to continue fulfilling this mission. Her multiple university degrees in natural resource management, plus her 30 years of professional experience dedicated to the environment makes her a rare and unique candidate offering to serve Three Rivers Parks.
Upon researching all the choices, I met and visited with Harrod for many hours. I determined Leigh Harrod would bring knowledge and experience to best serve Three Rivers. She will understand the natural resources projects undertaken by the Park District. She will listen to taxpayers andpark users. She will understand the complexities of the budget.

And in these times of limited resources, I am convinced Leigh Harrod will responsibly watch over the public’s money. I urge voters to visit her website and vote for her.www.harrod4parks.com
