Mike Gene Dillon is charged with one felony count of receiving stolen property.

A Minneapolis man is accused of pawning tools worth over $5,000 from a truck stolen on Cedar Lake Road in Minnetonka.

Attempts to locate Mike Gene Dillon, 45, of Minneapolis, have been unsuccessful, and there is now a warrant out for his arrest. Hennepin County attorneys have charged Dillon with one felony count of receiving stolen property.

On Sept. 12, 2011,  were notified of a stolen truck that contained over 80 tools used for the owner’s contracting business. Three days later, the truck was found in the parking lot of a Mounds View apartment building. A window had been broken and all of the tools were gone. On Sept. 19, officers learned that 13 of those tools had been sold or pawned at two Max It Pawn shops in Minneapolis and Fridley. Surveillance video and other business records identified the person pawning the tools as Dillon.
