Minnetonka Author to Discuss Children’s Book

Minnetonka author Katy Tessman Stanoch will be offering fans a chance to learn about her book, Our Mama Is A Beautiful Garden, at a book signing Sunday.

The book, with illustrations by Jessica Bailey, tells the story of a family's breast cancer journey through the voices of two young brothers.

The event takes place at 1 p.m. at Fox Egg Gallery (3730 Chicago Avenue S., Minneapolis). There will be:

• Treats provided by 318 Cafe
• Toad Abode craft lead by Ms. Emily, a naturalist from Three Rivers Park District - Lowry Nature Center, supplies donated by Kraemer’s True Value, Tonkadale Nursery, and Bachman’s
• Illustrate your own bookmark with Jessica Bailey
• Breast Cancer Superhero Portrait Project paintings by Barbara Porwit and photography by Elli Radar and Kate Bailey for Of Scars will be on the gallery walls
• Donated books will be distributed through Hope Chest for Breast Cancer
• Music by Jack Pearson
• Book signing
