Police Seize 2 Pounds of Pot from Minnetonka Apartment

A Minnetonka man has been charged with felony drug possession after police say they found almost 1,000 grams of marijuana in his apartment.
Jake Vincent Bebeau, 19, is charged with fifth-degree drug possession, which carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
According to the criminal complaint signed by a member of the West Metro Drug Task Force, police executed a search warrant at Bebeau’s apartment in the 18700 block of Stratford Road on Sept. 13.

Bebeau arrived at the apartment at the same time as police and was arrested.
Officers searched the apartment and found suspected marijuana in a safe in the living room. Bebeau gave them a key that opened the safe, the complaint says.

The drugs tested positive for marijuana and weighed 985 grams, or 2.17 pounds, according to the complaint.
Bebeau has been released from custody on a $3,000 bond. No information was available on his upcoming court appearances.
