Minnetonka Schools Host Story Hour, Kindergarten Open Houses on Tuesday

The following information comes from Minnetonka Schools:

On Tuesday, Dec. 4, parents and their preschoolers are invited to their neighborhood Minnetonka school for story hour.

In addition to story hour, parents can find out about Minnetonka's seven Kindergarten options. Learn about Half-day, Extended-day, English Program, Chinese Immersion and Spanish Immersion Kindergarten options, as well as the Ready Start K program (especially designed for 5-year olds with summer birthdays).

 December 4 Story Hour and Open Houses

• 9 a.m. at Deephaven Elementary and Scenic Heights Elementary 
• 9:30 a.m. at Excelsior Elementary
• 10 a.m. at Clear Springs, Groveland, Minnewashta Elementary Schools

 January Kindergarten Information Evenings for Parents

• January 8, 6 p.m. at Minnewashta and Scenic Heights Elementary Schools
• January 10, 6 p.m. at Deephaven Elementary School
• January 10, 6:30 p.m. at Clear Springs and Groveland Elementary Schools
• January 15, 6:30 p.m. at Excelsior Elementary School
• January 24, 6:30 p.m. at Minnetonka Community Education Center

Register for Kindergarten by February 5 

Kindergarten registration is in February each year for the following fall. Contact the school office, call the district's enrollment office (952-401-5000) or complete an online form to begin the registration process. Kindergarten registration materials may be picked up at the January Kindergarten Information Nights (listed above) at each school. Packets not picked up at the meetings will be mailed to all families on the mailing list the following day.
