Police Find Minnetonka Man Hiding Under No-Contact Order Victim's Sheets

A Minnetonka man has been charged with violating a domestic abuse no-contact order after police say they found him hiding beneath the sheets on the victim’s bed.

Scott Vincent Lodermeier, 49, is charged with violation of a no-contact order, a felony with a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. The charge carries a mandatory minimum jail sentence of 30 days.

According to the criminal complaint, police were called Sept. 10 to investigate a possible domestic assault at an apartment in the 10600 block of Smetana Road.

When they arrived, officers found two “extremely intoxicated” people: Lodermeier and a woman who has an active domestic abuse no-contact order against Lodermeier.

The woman told police that she and Lodermeier had been arguing about “how much they loved each other,” according to the complaint, but that there had been no physical violence or threats.

Officers entered the victim’s bedroom, where they found Lodermeier, “who appeared to be trying to hide under the sheets,” the complaint says.

Lodermeier told police that the woman had invited him over for dinner, and that they had argued about what to watch on television.

Lodermeier was convicted in July of violating a domestic abuse no-contact order and interfering with a 911 call, both involving the same woman with whom police found him on Sept. 10, according to the complaint. The no-contact order is in effect until 2018.

Lodermeier remains in the Hennepin County Jail on a $30,000 bond. He is also being held on outstanding warrants charging him with DWI and violating a no-contact order. An omnibus hearing in the latest case is scheduled Oct. 11 in Hennepin County District Court.
