Firefighters Respond to Stuck Elevator, Possible Electrical Fire at St. Olaf
The elevator got stuck on the 12th floor of the building building, in which more than 200 people are currently staying for summer programs at the college.

Northfield firefighters were on scene late Monday night at for a stuck elevator and possible electrical fire.
Sgt. Scott Johnson said it's likely that the motor of the elevator in the Larson Hall dormitory started on fire around 9 p.m., but quickly extinguished itself.
Firefighters did not need to use any water in the incident, Johnson said.Â

The elevator got stuck on the 12th floor of the building, in which more than 200 people are staying for summer programs at the college. No one was in the elevator when it stalled, Johnson said, and the building is habitable.
Crews needed to ventilate the dorm as they worked on getting the elevator up and running again.
