Northfield Man Given Work Release, Probation Following Drug Sting at Greenvale Apartments
Much of the sentence handed down to Cory Joseph Wunderlich will be stayed as long as the 26-year-old remains law abiding.

A Northfield man was sentenced Thursday in Rice County court to nearly 14 months of incarceration and five years probation after being convicted of one count of selling narcotics and a second count of selling marijuana—both in a subsidized public housing zone.

Rice County District Court Judge Thomas Neuville handed down Wunderlich's sentence with many conditions, including allowing a 210-day jail stint to determine whether further jail time would be necessary.Â

Wunderlich's entire sentence includes but is not limited to the following conditions:Â
- Five years probation for each count, running concurrently
- 120 total hours community service, to be completed by Feb. 2013 Â
- 210 days work release, with credit for 35 days served
- 120 days work release, stayed if he complies with all other conditions
- Submit to psychological evaluation/treatment
- Submit to a chemical dependency assessment
- Submit to random drug testing
- Pay $800 in fines
None of the other alongside Wunderlich have yet been sentenced.
