Read the Work of YMCA Teen Media Camp Kids

On Monday I visiting with the Teen Media camp. As promised, here a few pieces the kids wrote during camp and a few photos from the week of fun.

Venture

“Huff, huff, huff, huff yeeah!” I squealed, jumping to the other side. My name is john, and at the moment I am being chased by a giant spore critter in space jumping from polluted asteroids that are, also trying to kill me. “Joon! Jump!” said a creature from a ship. BOOooom!!! The planet explodes and I go flying. “AaaaAAHHH!” stop! I bet your wondering how all this happened. It was just a normal spring morning… except for the fact that it the last day of school, and everyone was going crazy. I was just about to leave the to go to the bathroom when the bell rang and everybody went insane!. “lets go throw water balloons!” one kid said. “lets go have a party!” another girl said. “lets go play with kittens!” one very weird boy said. If it was’nt the last day of school then that kid would be on a pole, but instead everyone just said: “YEAH!!!” and I was flattened onto the ground like a cartoon character. “Cough! Cough!... oooh…” I said, getting up. “mmh. Anyway, it’s summer!” I run out the door, through the school yard, and into the herd of kids. “hey! John!” a girl yelled. “john! Where are you! I have to tell you something!” the voice got louder, suddenly I recognized it. It was amy. “hey amy, how are you?” (keep in mind the fact that were in a pack of running children) “oh, good, how are- oof!!!” we both slam into a pole. “hey, bla, are you ok amy?”… no response. “uh… don’t look…” she replied. “wh- oh my gosh… your bleeding! Here take this napkin-“ “no, its ok” she interrupted. “amy are you?... oh my gosh… your blood is blue!” I said backing away. “yes it is… I never wanted you to see me like this.” She said standing up. She slowly turned around and said, “I’m not from this world.” Her face was half torn off and she had red skin. “this is who I really am.” She began to levitate off the ground, and glow. Then the light bursts and she falls to the ground. “I, am a spore.”

The Adventures of Danny

There once was a guy named Danny. Wait! There’s more. He had two friends named Sam and John. One day it was very hot. Danny wanted to plug in his computer. But there were too many plugs.

“Uh guys I don’t think it’s very safe to be using this much electricity.” said Danny.

“What do you mean?” asked John.

“Well, that the Electricity Companies would have to work overtime and that would resolve in greenhouse gases, which would fly to the Arctic and would melt it so that would cause over flooding and the world would be covered in water.”

“Pft don’t be silly. Like electricity can cause all of that.” Said Sam who had five fans around his head.

“Well, I guess you’re right. Hey, can I have one of your fans?”

“Um. Let me thing… No.” said Sam who now had ten fans around his head. Meanwhile, at the Electric Company. A worker looked at the Electro- Meter (yes, that’s right. They exist now).

“Wow someone somewhere is using a lot of electricity.” said a worker.

“And your point is?” said another worker.

“Oh, I just like saying… stuff.”

So the workers worked over time which caused greenhouse gases and it flew to the Arctic (well what’s left of it anyways). Than all the melted ice turned into a giant wave. And that giant wave flew all the way towards where Danny, Sam, and John lived.

Meanwhile, in space (this is getting annoying).

There was a ship full of (you can guess) ALIENS!

“Sir! The plant known as Earth is coming to an end.” said an alien. “We can finally go home!”

“No! I traveled one hundred million light years to get to this planet is ending!?” yelled the high alien overlord. “Send out the Space Monkeys…” Than a giant asteroid came out of the ship, hurling towards Earth.

MEANWHILE (again).

Danny looked out the window and saw the giant wave.

“GUYS! THEY’RES A GIANT WAVE OUTSIDE! SAM TURN OFF EVERYTHING!” yelled Danny.

“How will that help?” asked Sam.

“DO IT NOW!”

“AH!” Sam ran inside and grabbed the first plug he saw.

“Hello? Yeah it’s me. Yeah I’m not going to be around for a while. Yeah that’s right. Yeah with extra pepperoni.” said Danny on the phone. While Sam was inside he grabbed more plugs. Meanwhile Danny was outside, Danny was playing “Hide and go Seek” with the wave. “He will never catch me.” said Danny. A drop of water fell on Danny’s head. “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” The wave was right in front of them. “Danny I’m sorry for breaking your computer.” said John.

“Well, I’m sorry for breaking yours too John.” said Danny. Finally Sam grabbed the last plug. The wave stopped. Sam walked outside.

“Now that’s just dumb.” said Sam. The wave went backwards.

“Now guys let’s not leave all of this stuff on or we all are going to DIE!” said Danny. Danny, Sam, and John walked inside a rainbow came over there house.

“Well, that was the lamest thing ever. And that rainbow was SO stupid. Wait. Is that a giant wave, space monkeys, and Polar Bears with chainsaws?” said a guy with a fan outside.

THE END… I think…

RC World

The RC world has Ben going very well RC [remote control ] it is like a hobby. There a many things they do with RC cars trucks helicopters and planes. I have all the kinds that you can get. The USA National Guard uses them but they only make special ones for the military they only have 15 radio controlled plane. The ones that they use are as big as a small car that you see on the road. They have HD camera on their planes and I wish that I could be in the military it seems so fun. So this is the end of my story.
