
Alyssa Bance of Oakdale and Katherine Cram of Woodbury were appointed to the Washington County Library Board by the County Board Feb. 26.
Bance will be the representative from Commissioner District 2, and will fill an unexpired term to Dec. 31, 2014. Cram will be the representative from Commissioner District 5, and will fill a first term expiring Dec. 31, 2015.
- Bance, a forensic scientist at the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, said that she wants βour system to be the best it can at keeping the Washington County citizens educated and informed.βΒ
- Cram is active in the community, and serves on the city of Woodbury's Audit and Investment Commission. "Our county deserves a strong library system," she said.
The Library Board is advisory to the County Board and works with library staff, county commissioners, and library users to ensure the best quality service to all Washington County residents.

The Library Board is required by state law. The Washington County Library Board is advisory to the Washington County Board of Commissioners, which is the governing board of the Washington County Library.
