Tartan's Girls Hockey Day is Saturday

The Tartan Area Yough Hockey Association will be hosting its second-annual Girls Hockey Day on Saturday at Tartan Arena.

Girls hockey teams, which go by the name of the NorthEast Metro Stars, will be playing against other girls hockey teams in the area. Games begin at 10:15 a.m. and the final game is at 7 p.m.

Games are open to the public and there is no cost to attend. The event will be selling raffle tickets and chuck-a-puck. 

A spaghetti dinner benefiting the girls hockey team at Tartan High School will be at Demori's Italian Restaurant from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the door for $6.
