Woodbury Leadership Academy

Woodbury Leadership Academy (WLA) is a tuition-free, K-12 public charter school where high expectations and success matter to all! Our learning environment and school community promotes academic achievement for students in grades K-12, as well as personal integrity, equity and a dedication to value and serve others. We use inquiry based learning by teaching the Core Knowledge Curriculum — building strong skills in math, reading, writing, history, science and technology. Macaroni Kid offers a free weekly e-newsletter and website that highlights activities and events for children and families in Oakdale, Woodbury, Stillwater and Cottage Grove.  "As a mom in the Southeast Metro, I know how difficult it has been to keep track of the fun and enriching events and activities available for kids," said Emily Bowman, editor and publisher of the Southeast Metro Macaroni Kid. "I'm extremely excited to bring Macaroni Kid to our community and look forward to the opportunity to support the many cultural, not-for-profits, school and just plain fun things there are to do in Woodbury, Cottage Grove, Oakdale and Stillwater." Macaroni Kid covers a spectrum of things to do with children, including classes, shows and other events.
