Man Convicted of Assault After Punching Woman During Fight Outside Duke's
Jeremy Joseph Brann, 22, was sentenced to 365 days in Washington County Jail and ordered to pay $3,000 restitution.
A St. Paul man was convicted of felony third-degree assault on Dec. 29 in connection with a fight at last February.Β

Washington County District Court Judge Susan Miles suspended $2,500 and 320 days of the sentence for two years.Β

If Brann follows the conditions of his sentence and remains law abiding, the felony will be removed from his criminal record in 2014. Β Β

Brann was arrested after Oakdale police were dispatched to Duke's on the report of a fight in progress. Brann was arrested trying to flee the scene.Β
According to a post-arrest interview of the victim, Brann and two other men picked a fight with her fiancΓ© shortly after being kicked out of Duke's.
While attempting to help her fiancΓ©, a man she identified as Brann yelled expletives at her and punched her in the face.
When police arrived, the victim was found to have a swollen upper lip, bruising around her left eye and a laceration on the inside of her upper lip. A dentist's report also confirmed she had two chipped teeth and two cracked fillings. Β
