Oakdale Man Charged With Choking One Woman and Holding Two Others at Knifepoint

A 27-year-old Oakdale man is being charged with two felonies and a misdemeanor for allegedly threatening to kill two women after allegedly assaulting his sister-in-law at a residence in the 6400 block of 11th Street.
Por Xiong was charged with felony counts of terroristic threats and second-degree assault as well as misdemeanor domestic assault after he allegedly choked his sister-in-law and held her two friends at knifepoint on March 3.
According to a Washington County District Court Complaint, Xiong became angry and accused the women of disrespecting him during a drive back to Oakdale from a St. Paul bar.

The complaint states that upon arriving home, Xiong and his sister-in-law went into the residence, where he allegedly choked her, shoved her into a chair and grabbed two 8- to 10-inch knives.
Xiong then allegedly returned to the vehicle and began threatening the women with the knives and making stabbing motions toward their faces and throats, the complaint says.

At one point, Xiong allegedly shouted: "What the (expletive) are you two (expletive) yelling about?"Β He then continued to threaten them and asked if they wanted to be killed, the according to the complaint. Β
Xiong's sister-in-law called police after he left the residence and the women in the vehicle made a seond call to police after Xiong left the car, the complaint says.
During a post-arrest interview with Oakdale police, Xiong denied grabbing his sister-in-law's neck and also denied having a knife when he went to speak to the women in the vehicle, according to the complaint.
According to court files, Xiong is scheduled to make his first court appearance on March 22.
The most serious of the charges against Xiongβsecond-degree assault with a dangerous weaponβcarries with it a maximum penalty of seven years in prison and a $14,000 fine. Β
