From the City of Oakdale: North Dakota State University sophomore, Niki Ofili has been selected to participate in the McNair Scholars Program. Niki is majoring in Biological Sciences with a minor in Psychology. Her goal is to become a pediatric oncologist at the end of her schooling, but her ultimate career goal is to be a part of the team that discovers how to stop such a horrible disease as cancer.

McNair Scholars are selected from NDSU undergraduates who meet the program criteria and show an interest in research. The goal of the program is to increase the attainment of Ph.D. degrees by students from underrepresented segments of society. Participants in the NDSU program will be involved in graduate-level research and other scholarly activities.

Each McNair Scholar is supported by a faculty and library mentor. Niki will be working with Robert Correll as her library mentor and Dr. Katie Reindl as her faculty mentor.
