Oakdale Woman Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash

OAKDALE, MN — A 65-year-old Oakdale woman was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash in Maplewood on Sunday.

At 7:43 p.m. on Feb. 6, Eri Nakamura was walking southbound on the shoulder of Highway 120 — near 5th Street — when she was struck by a silver SUV, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The SUV took off from the scene, police said. Nakamura was transported to the Regions Hospital emergency room, where she died.

The State Patrol said that thanks to a tip from the public, the suspect in the fatal crash was located. Felony hit-and-run charges are pending a review by the Ramsey County Attorney’s office.
