Outdoor Yoga at Park Reserve

For those who want to take their yoga practice outside in the fresh air, now is that chance.

New to Washington County Parks this year is Outdoor Yoga at Lake Elmo Park Reserve through Sept. 5.

Tune into the sights and sounds of nature and release stress through guided yoga sequences, designed to improve balance, flexibility, breathing and awareness.

Classes will be Thursday from 6 -7 p.m. through Sept. 5 at Lake Elmo Park Reserve’s – North Picnic Shelter.

Outdoor Yoga classes are $5 per class per person; all vehicles must have a valid vehicle permit ($5/day or $25/annual). This is a beginner to intermediate yoga series led by registered yoga teacher Kim Thomas.

Participants should plan to arrive 10 minutes early and bring their own yoga mat.

Drinking fountains, bathrooms, and ample parking are available at the North Picnic Shelter. In case of rain, classes will be indoors at the Lake Elmo Park Reserve – Nordic Center.

Registration is required. Register at the park contact station, in-person or by telephone at 651-430-8370.

The program is for ages 14 and older; all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Lake Elmo Park Reserve is at 1515 Keats Ave. N., Lake Elmo, one mile north of Interstate 94 at the intersection of County Road 19 and County Road 10.
