Road Rage, Strangulation, Knife Assault: Oakdale Police Blotter

Among the incidents, a 24-year-old Wisconsin man was transported to Regions Hospital after he was assaulted by a group of men outside of Demori's.

Here is a selection of incidents reported to the Oakdale Police Department.Β 

July 8

  • A 24-year-old Wisconsin man was brought to Regions Hospital after he was assaulted outside of Demori's.Β When Oakdale Police arrived they found the victim lying on the ground with deep cuts on his face. A witness reported that he and the victim were jumped by four men outside of the restaurant.Β 
  • Officers responded to a domestic assault by strangulation on the 4000 block of Geneva Avenue. The woman was choked and pinned to the ground by the father of their two children. The case has been forwarded to the Washington County Attorney's Office.

July 9

  • A woman reportedly honked her horn at the vehicle in front of her on 50th Street and a 60 to 70-year-old man got out of his Ford Explorer and shouted an expletive and punched the woman's windshield.Β 

July 10

  • An Oakdale woman was arrested for second-degree assault on the 6200 block of 40th Street. The victim had a deep cut on his right finger and told officers the woman had "lunged" toward him with a kitchen knife. The woman admited she chased the victim with the knife after the victim repeatedly pushed her and chocked her, but she said she never cut him. The victim will also be formally charged with domestic assault by strangulation.
