Washington County Campfire Programs

Warner Nature Center will present a campfire program on the red-tailed hawk at 7:15 p.m. Saturday, June 29, at Lake Elmo Park Reserve.

Meet the red-tailed hawk, master of adaptations. When a live hawk visits the park, use your eyes to become a naturalist and discover the adaptations that have let this large bird thrive from coast to coast.

Carpenter Nature Center will present a program on "Predators" at 7:15 p.m. Saturday, June 29, at St. Croix Bluffs Regional Park. Learn about the special adaptations that birds of prey use to make them successful predators.

Meet native Minnesota predators and discover more about their habitat and hunting skills, including how they locate and catch their prey.

Lake Elmo Park Reserve is at the intersection of County Road 19 and County Road 10 (one mile north of Interstate 94) in Lake Elmo. The program will be in the campground amphitheater. It is a free program with park permit ($5/day or $25/annual).
