District 281 Seeks Educational Assistant Nominations
Know a Robbinsdale School District Education Assistant? Time to recognize them!

According to a Robbinsdale School District 281 press release:
Robbinsdale Area Schools is taking nominations for the 2013 Robbinsdale Education Assistant of the Year. This is the time to nominate someone who has made a difference in your life or the life of your child, and anyone can nominate – teachers, students, parents and community members. Self-nominations are also accepted.
Last year was the first year Robbinsdale Area Schools participated in the Education Assistant of the Year, which leads to the state and national Education Assistant of the Year. Deb Olesen, an education assistant at Robbinsdale Cooper High School, took top honors at that time.

Nominations will be accepted until Monday, April 23. The nomination form can be found at www.rftonline.org or by going to the district site at www.rdale.org. Paper copies can be submitted to Val Potter at the RFT office, which is located at 2960 Winnetka Avenue North, Suite 100, Crystal, MN 55427.
All education assistants who have been members of Local 872 for at least three years are eligible. This person will represent the Robbinsdale Area Schools in the state Education Assistant of the Year program, and that winner goes on to represent Minnesota in the national Education Assistant of the Year program. This is a wonderful program to recognize the great work that our education assistants do on behalf of our students, everyday.
