Hazardous Waste Disposal June 13-15

Dispose of your household hazardous waste 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, June 13 through Saturday, June 15, at Hennepin County’s collection event at St. Louis Park Junior High School, 2025 Texas Ave. S., St Louis Park.

Hennepin County organizes collection events throughout the year to give residents convenient, local disposal options for household hazardous waste. Materials accepted (free of charge) include household, lawn, and garden products; auto and fuel wastes; electronics; mercury-containing products; and more. A complete list of accepted materials can be found at www.hennepin.us/collectionevents.

 Materials not accepted include any waste from businesses, appliances, asbestos and construction debris, compressed gas cylinders and tanks, explosives, garbage, medical or infectious wastes, motor oil and oil filters, radioactive waste (eg, smoke detectors), tires, and yard waste. Hennepin County’s two permanent drop-off sites (8100 Jefferson Hwy, Brooklyn Park and 1400 W 96th St, Bloomington) accept household hazardous waste year-round.
