Jailers Find Nine Grams of Meth on Plymouth Woman During Intake Search

Pair of arrests late last week were the culmination of an extensive investigation into illegal drug activity in the Plymouth area.

A 39-year-old Plymouth woman was arrested Thursday, March 20, and was charged late last week with a felony-level controlled substance offense after a search of her person uncovered nearly $1,000 worth of methamphetamine.

Police first arrived at an apartment on the 15000 of 26th Avenue North to execute a search warrant following an investigation into suspected drug activity at the location, according to a criminal complaint signed by Plymouth Police Sergeant Robert Topp. A male known to police—and who lived in the apartment—was exiting the front door as officers were preparing to enter, and told investigators that he had just purchased about a half gram of meth for $50. A subsequent search of the apartment found a range of items associated with illegal drug use—including a digital scale, plastic bags and traces of meth in several areas.

Both Kristina Rae Smith and Thomas Foley were arrested and transported to jail for booking.
