Letter: Supports Audrey Britton for House District 44A
Plymouth resident writes in support of Audrey Britton running for State Representative 44A.

To the Editor:
We need Audrey Britton in our Legislature. For the past two years, we've watched the majority in the MN House of Representatives, including Representative Sarah Anderson, adopt a "My way or the highway" attitude, fixate on serving party agendas and ignore the financial health of Minnesota.
The two divisive constitutional amendments reflect this approach, and an inability to achieve compromise. $2.4 billion was taken from K-12school funding with no plan to pay it back. Republicans were quick to cut funding for seniors, cuts for the disabled, and needed infrastructure. Instead of compromise, we got a state government shutdown, as a result of this attitude. Our once enviable Minnesota quality of life is in jeopardy.

The things we care about are being replaced with corporate special interests, like our incumbent's bill to deregulate payday lenders. She is also trying to convince people that a budget surplus exists. As we face a $4 billion budget deficit, nothing could be further from the truth. We need to elect a candidate who listens and focuses on Plymouth's issues, who understands working in the real world and financial disciplines, and a candidate who can compromise and collaborate to achieve results.
Join me in voting for Britton.
