Letter: Supports Ned Carroll For Ward 2 Plymouth Council
Kathleen Murdock who was the Ward 2 Councilmember previously endorses one of the candidates for it.

To the Editor:
As the previously elected Ward 2 council member, I endorse Ned Carroll for this seat on the Plymouth City Council. Ned’s education and government experience will serve the city well. He has a Master’s in Public Policy Analysis and a law degree. Ned works in the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office and I have known him for many years through our mutual careers with the county. I have come to respect his skills in negotiation and collaboration. Since most of the work of the City Council has legal ramifications, his experience would be an important asset.
Ned has already shown his commitment to Plymouth. He has served on the city’s Park and Recreation Commission for four years and is currently chair. Ned was also Plymouth’s representative on the Shinglecreek Watershed Management Commission for six years. He and his family have been residents of Plymouth for 18 years and Ned has also been extremely active in youth sports.

When I retired from Hennepin County a year ago, I was also required to resign from the City Council after serving for five years. The City Council appointed Ned’s opponent to fill the Ward 2 seat until the next election. Ned was the other finalist. Now Ward 2 residents have the opportunity to decide who should fill that seat. I hope you will join me in voting for Ned Carroll on November 6.
