Obituary: James Raabe of Plymouth

James Raabe, 60, of Plymouth passed away Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012. He was born June 20, 1952.

He is survived by wife, Lori; son, Derek Raabe; mother, Mary Jean Sovis; brother, Kevin Raabe; children, Shannon and Jared Bertheaume; grandsons, Xavier and Xander; many other loving relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by father, Raymond; and stepfather, Frank Sovis.

Raabe was born in Huron, SD, grew up in Spirit Lake, IA and graduated from St. Louis Park High School class of 1970.  After high school Jim spent 2 years in the army where he was stationed at Ft. Myer, VA as a member of the Presidential Honor Guard.  He worked for Minntech Corp for the past 22 years.

Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Gearty-Delmore Park Chapel
3960 Wooddale Avenue South in St. Louis Park.

Funeral service is 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at The Church of the Holy Family
5900 West Lake Street in St. Louis Park.
