Open Garage Doors Invite Burglaries In Plymouth
Plymouth Police report at least eight home burglaries as a result of open garage doors.

From June 28 through July 4 the Plymouth Police Department reported 69 incidents, which included the following:
• One attempted burglary: on June 30 the victim heard his dogs barking and discovered his patio door open, but there was no damage or loss. Incident happened on the 1400 block of Larch Lane North.
• One commercial burglary: on June 28 while on routine patrol, an officer found several doors to the vacant mall on the 11200 block of Highway 55 had been removed and others had been forced open, loss is unknown.

• Eleven residential burglaries, eight of which were done through open garage doors; another burglary included $2,400 worth of tires and wheels stolen out of a garage July 2 on the 3300 block of Highway 169; on July 3 several items valued at $5,850 were stolen from the victim’s residence on the 4200 block of Quinwood Lane with no sign of forced entry, the case is under investigation.
