Plymouth Clinics Get Grants to Improve Patient Care

Eight grants were given out by Fairview Physician Associates to select member clinics.

Fairview Physician Associates (FPA) recently announced that eight of its member clinics would receive grant money to improve the quality of care and further care innovation.

Of the eight recipients, two have locations in Plymouth that will benefit from the funding:

Colon & Rectal Surgery Associates will specifically use the grant money examine why patients who have undergone colorectal abdominal surgery have had to be readmitted to the hospital and use that learning to reduce readmissions rates, according to a press release.

As part of the annual grant program, FPA member clinics received varying amounts of funds up to $10,000. A total of $53,000 was given through the eight grants.

“Through our small grant program and other tools, we aim to help member clinics achieve our Triple Aim of exceptional patient care and patient and family experience, while holding down total cost of care,” Dr. William Nersesian, FPA chief medical officer, said in the release.

The benefiting clinics will also provide its own funding or in-kind services to support its project and provide data for FPA to share with other member clinics, which will hopefully improve clinical quality and innovation.
