Plymouth Police Cuff Man Accused of Punching Girlfriend in the Face at Local Hotel

Court documents allege a 29-year-old man from St. Paul punched his girlfriend in the face while her infant child was nearby.

Plymouth police arrested a 29-year-old St. Paul man Saturday, April 6, for domestic assault after being called to the Red Roof Inn on Annapolis Lane on a report of an argument.

Arriving officers found Kenneth McCallister exiting the room where a hotel employee had heard sounds of a struggle. McCallister appeared visibly intoxicated, according to a criminal complaint filed Tuesday and signed by Molly Lynch of the Plymouth Police Department.

Police entered the room around 2 p.m. and found a woman, identified as McCallister’s girlfriend, who told officers she and her infant child lived in the room. The girlfriend told officers McCallister had been drinking heavily throughout the day and had become increasingly abusive, according to the complaint. The girlfriend locked the room when McCallister left. Upon returning, he used a room key to gain entrance and punched the girlfriend in the face.
