Plymouth Residents Report Paintballs Fired at Homes

Three Plymouth residents told police that someone fired paintballs at their homes and officers responded to a handful of fights in this week's police report.

Police responded to reports of three houses hit with paintballs, a fight at a hotel and another fight between two people who worked together at a Plymouth business, according to the most recent report from the Plymouth Police Department.

The owners of homes in the 11700 block of 40th Place North, the 4000 block of Forestview Lane North and the 11600 block of 40th Avenue North told police that someone fired paintballs at their houses on the evening of Jan. 7.

On Jan. 5, police were called to a “physical altercation” between two employees at a business in the 1600 block of Xenium Lane North. A 26-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested for assault.

And two men were arrested Jan. 7 at a hotel in the 2600 block of Annapolis Lane after a report of a fight. A 19-year-old St. Louis Park man and a 20-year-old Fridley man were charged with underage drinking.

The police department’s report from Jan. 5-11 listed 50 incidents, including:

  • Six reports of assault
  • One report of a business burglary
  • One report of a tampered with vehicle in a garage
  • Three reports of suspects failing alcohol compliance checks
  • Seven drivers arrested and charged with drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, or both
  • Three reports of damage to homes or vehicles
  • A report of a juvenile male inappropriately touching a victim
  • Two people arrested for DWIs
  • A resident arrested for disorderly conduct after pounding on and kicking another resident’s door
  • Three reports of credit-card or bank fraud
  • One report of a victim being scammed out of $350 via Craigslist
  • One report of harassing phone calls
  • Three reports of hit-and-run accidents
  • Three 14-year-old boys cited for violating curfew
  • One report of underage drinking
  • A report of a trailer stolen from a business parking lot
  • A person being removed from a hotel on suspicion of prostitution
  • A report of a suspicious vehicle, from which police recovered drug paraphernalia and suspected stolen checks
  • One report of shoplifting
  • Nine theft reports
  • One gasoline drive-off
