Plymouth Snowboarder Turns Heads at National Competition in Colorado

Danielle Sorenson is a top competitor from Minnesota's Upper Midwest Alt series, competing in the Breaker Girls (12-13) division.

Plymouth snowboarder Daniellle Sorenson placed among the nation’s top competitors at this year’s United States Amateur Snowboard Association national snowboard competition at Copper Mountain, CO.

The competition took place March 30–April 5.

Sorenson is a top competitor from Minnesota’s Upper Midwest Alt series, competing in the Breaker Girls (12-13) division. She advanced to the National Championships where she left a mark on this year’s competition competing in Slopestyle, placing 19th, and fought fiercely for a 5th place finish in Boardercross.

Danielle has been training hard since early September with the Midwest’s premiere snowboard team, the G Team. The G Team works with riders of all ability levels and ages in competitive and non-competitive teams.  

Riders get to train with experienced and professional coaches to reach their desired goals in snowboarding. Watch for these riders to continue to push themselves in next year’s competition series.
