Plymouth Student Going To Performance Academy

Anthony Brown-Norton, an eighth grader at (PMS) in the Robbinsdale Area Schools, has been selected to attend the Sphinx Summer Performance Academy at Oberlin Conservative in Ohio.

The academy is a very competitive national program for aspiring African American and Latino string players, and is the only one of its kind in the nation.

“Anthony has been a wonderful role model for his peers in everything he’s been involved in at Plymouth Middle School over the last three years,” said Rachel Rogness, orchestra teacher at PMS. “This kind of rigorous program will only strengthen his solid leadership and skills, which he will share with his fellow musicians next year at .”
