Save the Date: Plymouth Fire Department Serves Up Waffles this Weekend

Plymouth Fire Department hosts its annual waffle breakfast on Sunday, May 5, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fire Station III on Dunkirk Lane.

Firefighters and the Plymouth Crime and Fire Prevention Fund are gearing up to host the fourth annual waffle breakfast fundraiser.  

Breakfast will be served Sunday, May 5, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fire Station III on Dunkirk Lane North. Tickets are $7 in advance, $8 on the day of the event and $20 for a family of four. Advanced tickets can be purchased at the Fire Department administrative offices, located on the second floor of the Public Safety Building on Plymouth Boulevard.

Cash or check are accepted as payment.

Established in 1978, the Plymouth Crime & Fire Prevention Fund is a non-profit, volunteer organization made up of Plymouth residents and business owners.   The fund raises money to support special initiatives that enhance safety in our community. Spanning two decades, some of its successes include purchasing:

  • SWAT mobile command vehicle
  • Annual scholarship program
  • Ford F-250 Pick-up truck
  • Police and fire truck children's bookmobiles
  • Fire department training tower
  • Tactical ballistic blanket
  • Ballistic helmets and emergency response unit equipment
  • Cold and warm weather water rescue units
  • Three thermal imaging cameras/nigh scopes
  • Two police canine units
