Unknown 'MacGyver' Damages 3 Plymouth Mailboxes
Plymouth police cited 15 people for underage drinking at a Dec. 28 party and received reports of someone using a "MacGyver-type device" to damage mailboxes.

Three Plymouth mailboxes were damaged with a “MacGyver-type device” two days before Christmas, according to the most recent incident report from the Plymouth Police Department.
Officers reported that mailboxes in the 10400 block of 39th Avenue North, the 10100 block of 31st Avenue North and the 12000 block of 50th Avenue North were damaged between 8 and 9:30 a.m. Dec. 23. Two of the mailboxes were valued at $50 each; there was no damage estimate on the third.
Just after 1 a.m. Dec. 28, police were called to a report of a party involving underage drinking in the 2700 block of Evergreen Lane North and the 11600 block of 26th Avenue North. One 18-year-old Plymouth man was cited for fleeing a police officer and underage drinking.

Police also issued citations for underage drinking to a 19-year-old Minnetonka woman; five 19-year-old Plymouth men; a 19-year-old Medina man; a 19-year-old Maple Grove woman; an 18-year-old Maple Grove woman; two 18-year-old Plymouth men; two 18-year-old Plymouth women; and a 17-year-old juvenile female.

- One stolen bicycle
- One arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with an expired license
